What's in a Pokémon Box?
There are many Pokémon boxes and they're all unique, so the contents can vary from one pack to another. That said, most will always contain at least some playing cards or collectible cards, something to protect the cards and accessories for TCG battles. Sometimes you'll get access to an exclusive card and super rare thanks to the boxes: maybe this is where you'll get a super-powerful Pokémon V, VMAX or GX card!
Boxes are often themed, containing exclusive items linked to a Gym Leader or a particular Pokémon, for example. They sometimes contain a game board and damage counters, plus possibly a Pokémon binder and Boosters.
Which Pokémon Box should you choose?
The number of boxes on sale can be intimidating! There are so many — which one is best for you? Don't worry, we'll guide you properly so you can find the best one for you and the team that makes up your Pokémon Deck.
Ultra-Rare Card Box
If you're looking for a holographic card, a VMAX or GX, some Pokémon boxes include an exclusive card, so getting it is guaranteed. We've seen, for example, Urshifu V, Shiny Crobat, Cinderace VMAX or Drednaw VMAX: you need to keep up with the latest news from Japan to know in advance what's coming out!
Otherwise, boxes sometimes contain a bunch of Booster or Decks that potentially give you rare cards. This time you'll have to rely on luck, but as you may already know: with Japanese Pokémon cards, you have a better chance of getting the card of your dreams.
Pokémon TCG Box
This one's for you, the Pokémon battle fan. There are boxes dedicated to card game players, which contain a game board, some damage counters, and something to protect your cards. Of course, you may take part in Pokémon competitions, and everything is planned for that: there's even a storage box! Some Pokémon boxes are themed, for example based on the Gym Leaders of Sun & Moon or Sword & Shield. Sometimes they even include the Gym Leader's Pokémon Deck — ideal for a big roleplay fan.
Pokémon Collector Box
The last big family of Pokémon Boxes is dedicated to card collectors. Here, the attacks of Pokémon GX or VMAX cards don't matter — it's all about rarity and artwork: a full-art, half-art, holographic,... And of course, we thought of you by bringing them straight from Japan.
They contain a large number of Pokémon Boosters (between 5 and 30), from a particular limited edition, all accompanied by everything you need to keep the cards intact: card sleeves, cases, binder, and more. This is surely the kind of Pokémon Box you need if you want to show off a card's rarity to your friends!
Where to buy special Pokémon Boxes?
There are lots of editions, each rarer than the last. Although some are more sought after than others, such as the Pokémon Box Espeon & Deoxys, Umbreon & Darkrai or Reshiram & Charizard, you'll always need to look closely at Pokémon product resellers.
There are two main options: physical stores (specialist shops), and websites. In the first case, it's relatively complicated: it depends on stock, whether there's one near you, and above all whether it will have THE box you're looking for. In short, it's a good choice, but getting what you need will come down to luck!
In the second case, you'll turn to the internet — but be careful! Many sites resell counterfeit Pokémon products, so you'll need to pay close attention to the legitimacy and security of the site you buy from. Here, we import Pokémon cards directly from Japan, bought at the Pokémon Center (the official store in Tokyo!). Nothing is more exclusive and authentic!
What's more, it's very often cheaper than in France: Pokémon products being mostly made in Japan or distributed from Japan, we get them at super low prices, which lets us sell them to you for less than French prices.
