Pokémon GX card

Introduced with the Sun & Moon TCG expansion, GX cards shaped the way every fan of the Pokémon Trading Card Game plays.

Besides their super-powerful attacks, these cards boast incredible artwork to the delight of every collector! Can you resist these magnificent cards just waiting for a spot in your collection?

Released in early December 2017 in Japan, the Sun & Moon TCG expansion introduced a play mode that changed the Pokémon card game meta forever. They can be put straight into play and represent the Z-Moves of the Alola region, notably with special GX attacks which, as in the games, can only be used once per battle: a devastating attack to use at the right moment to tip the battle in your favor.

What do Pokémon GX cards look like?

GX cards have more hit points (HP) and stronger attacks than normal cards, but play them wisely since they give up two Prize cards when Knocked Out. They're quite similar to Tag Team GX cards (which appeared later in the same expansion), which also have a GX attack but above all much higher HP and damage (though if Knocked Out, your opponent takes three Prize cards).

As for the artwork, the Pokémon is shown across the whole card, like the full arts of previous generations or the V cards of the next expansion: Sword & Shield.
