EX Pokémon Card

A little nostalgia combined with breathtaking illustrations: the EX cards are sure to revive your trainer soul!

Released in Japan in September 2011 with Black and White's Next Destinies expansion, EX cards will shake up the TCG meta and mark the start of a new era for Pokémon playing card licensing.

Not to be confused with ex cards (written in lowercase), these Pokémon have a much higher number of life points and damage than their predecessor. In addition, The Pokémon Company will later introduce Mega Evolution EX with the X/Y release, making your Pokémon EX even more powerful and much more imposing.

What are the Pokémon GX cards like?

You can't miss them, the EX symbol will appear just to the right of their name! In addition, as said previously, the number of HP and damage inflicted by his attacks will be much higher than the normal average.

Just like Legend cards, Pokémon EX bring two rewards to your opponent in the event of a KO but do not need to be assembled and can be placed directly on the field (A revolution in terms of strategy making key cards almost obsolete of the Heart of Gold and Soul of Silver expansions).

Mega Evolutions have an M to the left of the card name in addition to the EX to the right and can land on the EX version of the same Pokémon (in much the same way as V and Vmax cards). However, you will have to be careful: once you have mega evolved your Pokémon, your turn will end automatically!

In terms of illustration, the frame is still present for the classic versions (we can note, however, that the Pokémon will come out of the frame slightly in order to give an effect of depth) but certain cards will have a Full Art version (rarer) which will ban the frame and will showcase your favorite pocket monster on the entire card (the holy grail for any collector)!

How do we send your Pokémon EX cards from Tokyo to your home?

Like you, we collect Pokémon cards, and we are well aware of the value of these cards. All cards will be sent in a sleeve (card protector), enclosed in a top loader (plastic box). In addition they will be wrapped in bubble wrap, all shipped in a bubble envelope or special cardboard.
