Aquali Gold Star is a Basic Water-type Pokémon card. It is part of the EX Guardians of Power expansion. This card is based on the Shiny version of Aquali. This Aquali Gold Star 022/PLAY card is one of the rarest Pokémon cards, and we'll explain why.
PLAY promotional cards are a series of Japanese cards distributed exclusively by the Pokémon Players Club, which replaced the original Pokémon Fan Club in January 2003.
By participating in weekly sessions, much like the Pokémon League outside of Japan, members could earn experience points (EXP) through several actions to earn promotional cards. Each of these cards has a PLAY suffix and the Pokémon Players Club logo as an expansion symbol.
